In the historic and charming 1820 Simsbury House, also known as the Amos Eno House, an exciting new restaurant just opened this week at 731 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, Connecticut. Soma Grille (Soma is Amos spelled backwards) offers a variety of venues: a romantic dinner for two by the fire, a burger and craft beer in their cozy bar, a family event in a private room, happy hour on the porch, a business dinner or even a wine event or chef demonstration.
Chef Lucas Hinck has created a delectable menu of American favorites with a decided Mediterranean influence. A Connecticut native with an impressive background, Chef Lucas has worked Max Amore, Dean and Deluca, as well as the world-renown Creative Edge Caterers. Most recently, Chef Lucas helped open Sayulita, worked at Angelico’s Lakes, and assisted with the opening of Figs in South Glastonbury. Together with Sous Chef Ronald Van Der Jagt, also a Connecticut native, these chefs offer a mouth-watering array of dishes to please any palate.
